Here is a more elaborate version of the tile banding on concrete paving. This is exposed aggregate, salt finish concrete with terracotta tile banding. The tile banding pavers also have decorative rope style tile banding on them. This is another exterior paving style at Hearst Castle.

ReplyDeleteInterested to know if the Rope Style tile is actually a tile or a rope ? I recently heard the term "Rope Finish" related to concrete. I have only found 2 examples of Concrete and rope being used to finish a job. other then the two photos I have not found any further information.
